Green tea originates from China . It is made from the leaves of Camellia Sinensis . Flavonoids are phytochemicals that are present in many plant products that contribute to many health benefits and is considered to have the most flavonoids, among many other foods that are considered healthy. It is famous and grown mainly in Asia but has recently gained popularity in the western regions of the world.



In recent years there has been much research and nutritionists who have been aware that green tea drinkers have a lower risk of heart disease and certain cancers. People who lose weight tend to drink because it has the ability to use stored body fat for energy . This phenomenon is known as fat oxidation . Varieties include Chinese tea, Japanese tea, etc.

Most people confuse green tea with black tea or oolong tea. Oolong tea and black tea are made from the same plant used to make green tea . The difference is the method of preparation. Oolong tea is partially fermented black tea is fully fermented .

People who do not have an autoimmune disease can drink green tea, but people with autoimmune disease is always advisable not to. Autoimmune diseases include asthma , lupus, cancer, etc. too hot tea can give drinkers throat cancer , it is recommended to drink fresh but slightly cooled .
